Campton United SC provides players unique opportunity with College Showcase event….

Campton United SC continues to shape players in their development toward pursing dreams, not accolades. On Monday, January 21^st, 2013, Campton United SC continued in their evolution as the best soccer club in the Fox Valley/Tri-City area by hosting a College Showcase event for both High School boys and girls.

This event housed over 120 players who have the dreams and aspirations to play in college. The first session featured the Boys showcase event presenting players from six different clubs.  Over thirteen college coaches were in attendance to see the level of play and talent including: Northern Illinois (NIU), DePaul University, University of Illinois-Chicago, Loyola University- Chicago, Elmhurst College and more.

The second session, the Girls event, exhibited players from ten different clubs and hosted 23 college coaches. Colleges were represented from every Division (Division I, II, III, NAIA and Junior College).  Some schools in attendance included: University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Northern Illinois University, University of Illinois-Chicago, Benedictine University, Aurora University, Carthage College, and more.

Both events gave players three games to showcase their talents to the college coaches.  Select coaches talked to the players about the recruiting process, the nuances on how to market yourself and provided them insight on how college soccer works at different divisions.  Coaches also answered some great questions from the group and individual players.

             For Campton, the event allowed us to showcase our quality in coaching, curriculum and facilities.  For the High School players, this added valuable instruction and exposure, which will allow them to reach their personal goals and dreams.  For the younger players in the club, it provides them with the foundation and opportunities that await them as the progress through the Campton United SC development program.
