Kane County’s very own Campton United SC was just announced on February 3 to receive a promotion by U.S. Soccer.  The U.S. Soccer Development Academy promoted two additional age groups of Campton United  for the coming 2017- 2018 season.   The age groups of Under 13 and Under 14 were promoted to join Campton United's current Under 12 age Development Academy team that participated this 2016 - 2017 season.

The US Soccer Development Academy, composed of 165 top level clubs across the United States, was created by U.S. Soccer in 2007 as a platform for elite player development in the United States.  Campton United will join the Mid-America Division of the Central Conference, playing teams from Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, and Minnesota.  The Development Academy focuses on positively impacting everyday club environments to maximize youth player development across the country. The Academy values individual development of elite players over winning trophies and titles. The Development Academy sets the standard for elite environments for youth soccer clubs nationwide and is a part of U.S. Soccer's global leadership position in youth soccer that will impact thousands of players.

Chad Flanders, Technical Director of Campton United said “We are excited to see the club gain promotion into the Under 13 and Under 14 age groups, it is really flattering to see us recognized as a leader in player development in the Chicago area and the Western Suburbs.  We had a great first year in the Under 12 Academy and we really value the emphasis on player development and raising our club environment.  We have taken many of the Academy requirements and implemented them into the entire club, and we are certain it will impact our players in a positive way.”
