 Campton United is proud to announce that our club has been accepted to join the Midwest Development League (MDL) part of the National Premier Leagues (NPL) for the coming 2013-2014 season.   Campton United was chosen in part due to our on field performance, commitment to long-term player development, and our overall club structure.  We will be participating with our top U13-U18 Boys Teams.

The NPL provides a unified, league-based national developmental platform with the highest level of competition in its geographic areas.

Created to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape based upon US Club Soccer’s fundamental principles, the NPL extends developmental principals espoused by the U.S. Soccer Development Academy into younger age groups and additional clubs, providing a platform for long-term player development.

  • focused on long-term player development;
  • for the country’s top soccer clubs, allowing consistent, meaningful high-level games appropriately scheduled with higher training-to-game ratios;
  • that allows players to be scouted and evaluated by U.S. Soccer National Staff and Technical Advisors;

  • that is designed and structured by the clubs, based on the needs of the clubs; and
  • that provides an avenue for qualification for the NPL Champions Cup.

Campton United’s, Technical Director, Chad Flanders says, “We are excited to be aligned with such a high level league and the clubs that area associated with it.  We have been building our curriculum and programming to impact our player’s development.  Adding these pieces with the MDL programming that gives us more meaningful games while reducing our calendar congestion.  We believe these are the components to help us grow our players and allow them to reach their greatest potential.
