How does each bracket work

How does my Bracket Work 2016 Midwest Cup

4 teams

All teams are in 1 bracket

The teams play each other of the other teams once. The top two teams in points will playoff in a final to crown the Champion.

5 teams

All teams are in one bracket will play each other in a round robin.  Champion determined by highest points.

6 teams

3 teams in bracket A and 3 teams in bracket B.

Crossover Bracket – teams will play all 3 opponents in opposite bracket.  The top two teams in points, labeled Wildcard #1 and Wildcard #2, will determine playoffs.

8 teams

2 brackets of 4 teams each

The teams in bracket #A play each other in pool play

The teams in bracket #B play each other in pool play

The winner of each bracket earns a spot in the finals.

9 teams

3 brackets with 3 team’s each.

The teams in bracket #1 play each other in pool play

The teams in bracket #2 play each other in pool play

The teams in bracket #3 play each other in pool play

The winners of each bracket advance. The other teams play a consolation match.

The bracket winner with the most points (or wins the tiebreaker if necessary) advances to the finals. The tournament software refers to this team as Wildcard #1.

The remaining two bracket winners play a semi final game to advance to the finals. The tournament software refers to these teams as Wildcard #2 and Wildcard #3.

Consolation games:  Remaining Teams will play in consolation matches.

10 teams

Brackets A contains 4 teams

Bracket B and C contains 3 teams each

B and C will each play a crossover game during group play

Playoffs – Winner of Bracket A, B, C, and 1 Wildcard team – highest overall points.

12 teams

3 brackets, each with 4 teams

Each team play the other teams in its bracket one time.

Playoffs – Bracket A, B, C Group Winners and 1 Wildcard team, highest overall points from remaining teams.
