Why is Futsal part of our training?

Soccer greats such as Kaka, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Marta and Messi grew up playing Futsal and credit it for developing their incredible skills. Played five-a-side on basketball-size courts with a small, low-bounce ball, this rapid-paced game demands lightning-fast reflexes, quick decision-making and pin-point passing. Futsal will improve the game and ability of any soccer player through its intense pace and rapid execution.

Here at Campton United, we are striving to make Futsal part of our club’s culture and curriculum. This type of training and Futsal games will certainly strengthen our long-term development plan to a great length. This is the most exciting indoor and outdoor game around. Having our own Indoor Complex to use for training and Futsal games has been a tremendous asset to our club. This has given us the opportunity to train our players in a fun environment that encourages creativity and skillful play. It also allows them to become a better and well-rounded player.

The game of Futsal promotes skillful play only, physical superiority does not give the advantage to the bigger players in this game, and all physical contact fouls are punished. Futsal forces all players to play a fast paced game, demands quick decision making and constant reaction because of the small number of players in small space.

Whether the player’s aim is to advance to a higher level in our club, make the high school team or attain a goal even beyond, this is the game for them!
