CUSC 'Alumni Spotlight' - CASSIDY JOYCE

CAMPTON NATION!

It is with great pleasure to have Cassidy Joyce as this week's Alumni Spotlight.  Cassidy played on the Campton 2000 USYS girls and currently plays her College Soccer at Minnesota State University - Mankato. Please enjoy  Cassidy's words!

What's your experience like playing for MSU-Mankato?

Playing for MSU has been an excellent experience. I have gotten to meet new people, experience different styles of play, and play at a level that has challenged me to become a better player.

How do you think Campton United SC helped you to get where you are now?

Campton has hugely impacted me not only in my development as a player but as a person. Starting at Campton at the age of five, I can genuinely say that every practice I endured had been of a competitive nature. Over the years I have experienced lots of encouragement from not only my coaches but my teammates. I have made lifelong relationships from Campton and have met some wonderful people. Campton has prepared me to perform at the highest level, taught me hard work and dedication, and what it means to be a part of a team.

What was your favorite moment from your time with Campton United SC?

My favorite memory from Campton would have to be going to nationals. As a senior, it was bittersweet playing with the people I’ve played with my whole life for the last time. Not only that, but it represented all the hard work it took to get there along the way.

What has been your favorite moment so far at MSU-Mankato?

My favorite moment at MSU so far is scoring my first collegiate goal.

What advise would you give to players who have the goal to play at the next level in College?

My biggest piece of advice would be, always put in the work, be patient, and to enjoy every moment.
