CUSC 'Alumni Spotlight' - TC Hull

CAMPTON NATION!

It is a pleasure to feature our first boy Alum in this the 4th edition of the CUSC Alumni Spotlight. TC Hull was a 2014 graduate of Campton and he went onto play at SIU-E. Please enjoy TC's words in his player spotlight! #camptonnation #CUSCalumnispotlight

What's your experience like playing for SIUE?
My experience playing at SIU-E has been everything I could ask for. Being able to play college soccer at the highest level with a group of guys who become your family for 4 years is special. I have made relationships and memories that will last a lifetime.

How do you think Campton United SC helped you to get where you are now?
Campton United helped me immensely in becoming the player and person I am today. Starting on the U9 B team and playing for the club all the way to college was very unique. The coaching staff helped me develop my game at every training and pushed me to become the best player I could possibly be. The opportunities Campton gave me opened doors for my future in soccer.

What was your favorite moment from your time with Campton United SC?
My favorite moment with Campton United was winning the Illinois State Cup my Junior year of high school. I wasn’t able to play in the tournament because of an injury, but it brought full circle the endless hours of training and travel with that core group of guys we had from a young age to finally win the state cup. This is just one of the endless memories I have from Campton.

What has been your favorite moment so far at SIUE ?

My favorite moment as SIU-E so far has to be winning the MVC tournament championship my redshirt sophomore year and making a run to the Sweet 16. Going through the whole process of the NCAA tournament and seeing who you’re going to play and so on was incredible. We beat Michigan State in the first round in East Lansing in front of thousands of people, then Butler in PK’s in the second round, before being knocked off by the #2 seed Wake Forest in Salem in front of 5000 people. It was something I’ll never forget.

What advise would you give to players who have the goal to play at the next level in College?

The advice I would give to players who have the goal to play at the college level is to focus on each moment. Don’t look too far ahead and do everything you can every day to get better and good things will happen. If you have the goal to play at the college level there is a place for you to play as long as you focus on one moment at a time.
