Campton returned to CO this weekend with the 2002 MDL boys in search of a second national trophy in two weeks. During group play, the team finished with 2 wins (3-2 vs Seacoast United and 4-0 vs New England FC) and 1 loss (1-2), against Jackson Red Bulls (NJ), the eventual champions. CUSC again faced Jackson in the championship match but ultimately came up short 1-3 in the Final. Despite the loss, the boys played great soccer all weekend and were well deserving of their place on the trophy podium. Even though there were some sad faces after the final whistle, there is no shame in being one of the top teams in the country. The coaching staff and parents couldn't be more proud of the effort, attitude, and character of these great young men. Way to go CamptonNation!
