Over the weekend, Campton United SC girls side of the club, traveled nine teams down to compete in the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Fall Showcase. These nine teams were: U12 Gold Girls, U13 Navy Girls, U13 Gold Girls, U14 Navy Girls 1, U14 Navy Girls 2, U15 Navy Girls, U16 Navy Girls, U17 Navy Girls and U17 Gold Girls.

The U12-U15's were able to compete with a chance for playoffs, while the U16's to U18's were only a showcase event. 

It was a very successful weekend for the club, as heading into Sunday, five out of the six teams (U13 Navy, U13 Gold, U14 Navy 1, U14 Navy 2 and U15 Navy) had a chance to advance to the playoffs. After the morning matches, the club had three teams advance to the semi-finals (U13 Navy, U14 Navy 1 and U15 Navy). The U13 Navy girls fell 0-2 to Pre-ECNL opponent Sporting KC and the U14 Navy 1 girls fell in PK's to MRL opponent FC Pride. The U15 Navy's beat Appleton 3-1 in the semi-final advance to the tournament final for the 2nd year in a row. 

The U15 Navy Girls faced Illinois Youth Soccer Semi-Finalist FC 1974 out of Libertyville. Early in the match, the U15 Girls earned a corner and scored to go up 1-0. Early in the 2nd half, the Libertyville was able even the match on set piece of their own. With about 15 minutes remaining, Campton United SC in the run of play was able to take the lead back 2-1 on a great strike from about 20 yards out to seal the tournament Championship for the 2nd year in a row. Congrats Girls! 

With the fall season winding down, it was a great way to close out the final weeks having such great success in St. Louis.
