Former Campton United SC Goalkeeper...moves into the Top 10

Former Campton United SC Goalkeeper Charlie Lyon (St. Charles East), now Redshirt Senior at Marquette University, (Big East) has moved into the NCAA recordbooks.

Charlie Lyon extended his shutout streak to 808 minutes, now the 10th longest such streak in NCAA Division I men’s history, as No. 13 Marquette beat St. Johns' 2-0 to highlight the Golden Eagles' celebration of 50 years of Marquette soccer.
 
More than 70 former players and coaches, including Hayden Knight (three caps with the USA in 1984) and Bob Gansler (head coach of 1990 U.S. World Cup squad) were in attendance.
 
Lyon also earned his 28th career shutout, tying Jim Welch for the program record. Welch was also in attendance at the match.
