Campton United SC recently took eight girls teams to the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Girls Fall College Showcase. At the event, we had four teams play in the tournament portion, with the opportunity to bring back hardware to the club.  The other four teams played in the College Showcase portion.

The four teams who competed in the tournament portion represented the future of #Camptonnation very well. Our U12 Navy Girls went 2-0-1 before falling in the semi-final.  The U13 Navy Girls went 1-0-2 and just fell short of the semi-finals.  The U14 Girls went 5-0 on the weekend, en route to winning the Championship over SLSG ECNL. The U15 Girls went 1-0-2, before falling in the semi-finals. All in all, 3 out of 4 teams advanced out of their bracket, with one bringing home the tournament title.

For the showcase event, our U16 Navy, U16 Gold, U17 Navy and U17 Gold Girls teams all participated in three matches over the two-day event. These groups played teams from Arkansas, Wisconsin, Missouri and Illinois. Most importantly about the event, was the girls’ performance. For our U17's specifically, this is a year when a lot of players are getting recruited to play at the college level.  During those matches, our 17s played in front of over 15 College Coaches.

As this was one of the biggest events of the year for the Girls program, the girls showed well and continue to set the path for themselves and the future at Campton United.
