The 2013 US Youth Soccer Region II Presidents Cup kicks off Thursday in Overland Park, Kan. Teams from US Youth Soccer Region II (Midwest) will compete from June 13-16 to earn a spot in the 2013 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup.
The tournament will feature 81 US Youth Soccer boys and girls teams in the Under-13 through Under-17 age groups, competing for a regional title, and a berth to the
2013 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 10-14 in Auburndale, Fla.
The Region II Presidents Cup will begin with preliminary games from Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15, and regional champions will be crowned following final matches on Sunday, June 16. Games will take place at Overland Park Soccer Complex.
Kansas Youth Soccer Association will host the event, and the other 13 State Associations represented include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio-North, Ohio-South, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for teams seeking additional challenges to play for a national title against teams of similar abilities. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
