9 goals given up in 17 games

This past weekend five boys teams headed down to Cincinnati for the Kings Turf Classic.  What an exciting weekend it turned out to be.  The weather was good and the players performed even better.  The teams played at eight different sites all on turf.

All five teams, 11Navy, 12 Navy, 13 White, 16 Red and 16 White, went undefeated on the first day giving themselves all a chance to advance to the final game.  The 16s led off at Xavier University on the college field with both teams winning to set up an all Campton Final.  The 16 Derby will be played up here at a date TBD.  The 13s fell in their final game 0-1, giving up their only goal of the tournament to just miss out on the finals.  Both the 11s and 12s both won their first matches on the way to both winning in the finals.

All said the five teams scored 53 and only gave up 9 goals in 17 matches.  This is a small testament to the hardwork they put forth throughout the winter training.  Congratulations to the teams and all the players who joined as this was a true club effort with players from 3 other Campton teams added for the weekend.
