High School Girls cap off another great year.........

On Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 Campton United SC hosted its 2nd Annual High School Girls Banquet.

The program, which has been in resurgence over the last two years, has been built to five teams (3 U16's and 2 U15's) with over 74 players representing 14 different local High Schools.

The goal and mission of the Campton United High School program is to provide the players an elite training environment that challenges players in all phases of the game (technically, tactically, physically and mentality). The redesign of the program is to help players reach their goals of getting to college and for even some, playing in college. The environment at Campton is not always about soccer, but about life. Campton provides their players with opportunities to be challenged, be uncomfortable and understand life is full of choices is not always easy. Yet all, these attributes teach and help our players not only to be better on the field, but to be more accountable as young adults.

Girls Director of Coaching Chris Brown, or as many know as "Brownie", had this to say about the program: "The idea of the Campton's High School program is to help provide life skills to these players, provide the right challenges at the right moments, provide opportunities for those that want to play in college, all while creating a family atmosphere."

The program has seen many successes over the last two years. This fall, the U16 Navy and U15 Navy both competed in MRL (Midwest Regional League), and the U16 Gold brought home the first State title for the Club on the girls side in over 10 years, winning the President's Cup. They will head down to Kansas in June to represent Illinois and Campton on a journey to compete for a National Title. Our U16 Red and U15 Gold team compete in IWSL A Division and ABS Division respectively.

In addition, many of the girls participated in Campton's first College Showcase event in front of 23 college coaches and attended our College information night presented by various Div I and III coaches to help prepare them for the next level.
