CUSC ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT #15 (2020)

Campton Nation! 

It is a pleasure to feature Saydie Holland in our 2nd Alumni Spotlight of 2020.

Saydie currently plays her soccer at the University of Mississippi 'Ole Miss'. Saydie is a life long Campton player and achieved great things at Campton, including State, Regional, and National League Championships, scoring many goals along the way!

Campton Nation is incredibly proud of Saydie and all of her achievements; she is an unbelievable player but an even better person!

1- What's your experience like playing for the University of Mississippi?

My experience playing college soccer has been very intense. There are almost no off days, and everyone holds each other accountable to put in 100%. Playing in front of fans and fellow students gives you an awesome feeling of accomplishment.


2- How do you think Campton United helped you to get where you are now?

Campton United helped shape me to be an athlete that works hard all the time. At practices everyone would compete like it was a game, and this ultimately made us better soccer players. This competitiveness that I got from Campton has helped me get to where I am today.

3- What's your favorite moment from your time with Campton United?

My favorite moment from my time with Campton United was when we FINALLY won Regionals and we got to dump the gatorade on Scotty.

4- What's has been your favorite moment so far at Ole Miss?

My favorite memory so far at the University of Mississippi was beating Mississippi State in the last minute of the game at the SEC tournament.

5- What advise would you give to players who have the goal to play at the next level in College?

My advice to players who want to play in college would be to go to practice with an attitude ready to learn. There is always something you can improve on, and accepting the criticism will only make you better.
