Campton Nation!

We are delighted to feature Cece Wahlberg in this weeks Alumni Spotlight. Cece was a massive part of our success with our 2000/2001 girls, helping them to a National Final, as well as 5 State Cups, a Regional Championship and 2 National League Championships! Cece is a starting Freshman at Indiana State University and is one of the most talented players to come out of the Campton girls program! Please enjoy Cece's words!

1- What's your experience like playing for Indiana State University?

I have had such a learning experience at Indiana State. Being a freshman I feel I have been learning how to adjust to my role on the team as well as the style of play. My teammates are so wonderful along with the coaches. They both do a great job of teaching and making it feel at home.

2- How do you think Campton United helped you to get where you are now?

Campton United has set me up to play at a high level of soccer. Campton was where I grew as a player starting young and they built me into the player I am today. We played at a high level which help showcase ourselves to play for the college level. Campton gives the opportunities to play the best teams across the country and I feel I have been extremely prepared to play at the next level.

3- What's your favorite moment from your time with Campton United?

It vey hard to look back at all the years and choose just one moment, but I would have to say this past summer at Nations in Kansas. Being my fourth time there with my best friends the overall experience to play together and creating memories I will never forget with parents and teammates. It became more of a second family, we all love each other.

4- What's has been your favorite moment so far at Indiana State University?

My favorite moment so far at Indiana State would be celebrating our first win against Dayton with Dairy Queen ice cream

5- What advise would you give to players who have the goal to play at the next level in College?

I would say the one of the biggest things you can do for yourself is to have fun and be coachable, take the cristsism and learn from it because it will only make you a better player. Another thing is always put forth your best effort because you want to make yourself better then the day before.
