Please join me in congratulating the winner of our 2019 Scholarship for Success, Kayla Villa. 

Kayla currently has an unweighted GPA of 5.0 and plans to study in the area of biology - possibly molecular biology, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or virology - at MIT or Harvard. She says “...from the game of soccer, I have learned that real personal growth only occurs at the edge of your comfort zone.” “My experiences at Campton and with soccer in general has shown me the power of a group of people working together in pursuit of a greater goal, and I am so thankful for that.” 

Kayla has been a weekly volunteer chef at Fox Valley Food for Health, an organization that cooks free, healthy meals for cancer patients and their families so that they don’t have to worry about preparing meals in addition to receiving their treatments.  

Congratulations Kayla! We are proud of you.  Best of luck with all that you create for your future.

JOEY SOMMER

Please join me in congratulating the winner of our 2019 Scholarship for Success,Joey Sommer.  

Joey currently has an unweighted GPA of 5.0 and plans to study Computer Science at Notre Dame. He says “Campton not only taught me the hard-work, determination, and perseverance that comes with playing at a high level, but also taught me how to work as a team and depend on other people.” 

He and his brother created SommerSoccer, a 501c(3) charity to host camps and raise money for LivingWell Cancer Resource Center. They have raised over $2,000.
