12 White girls capture Championship at USA Cup in Blaine, Minnesota -  For the 2nd year, Campton has taken a group of girls to the prestigious USA Cup tournament.  Over 950 teams from 16 different countries and 25 states attended the tournament.  During the week the girls played teams from Canada, USA, and Ecuador.  The Championship game was won 4-2 over the Auroroa Rangers from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.  The girls posted a fantastic record of 7-0 for the week long competition.  Other highlights were visiting the Mall of America, and participating in the opening ceremony parade in front of 10,000 people at the National Sports Center stadium. Congratulations girls!

Campton United's U15 Navy Boys Win Kalamazoo Invitational Soccer Showcase - Congrats to the U15 Boys who won the championship over June 18 weekend. The tournament, held in Kalamazoo, Micigan, is a showcase tournament where college coaches attend to view potential recruits. Campton beat teams from Croatian Eagles Red (WI), AFSC Premier (IL), and Spirits 96 (IL) while out scoring them 19-1. Next, the team will be competing in the US Club National X Cup Regional July 4th weekend in Libertyville, IL, with a chance to go to the National Cup X finals held in Boise, Idaho, July 29 - August. 1, 2011.

U11 Navy Boys Finalists at Puma Champions Cup - Campton's U11 Navy boys team swept through bracket play to qualify for the championship match, which ended in a tie resulting in a penalty kick shoot-out.  Congratulations boys! 

U14 Boys Finalists- Campton's U14 boys finalists in Puma Cup. Congratulations boys! 

Campton's U12 Navy Boys Champions - The Campton United U12 Navy Boys participated in the Puma Cup in Rockford the weekend of April 16-17.  The boys played through miserable weather conditions winning their three bracket games to qualify for the championship game against TCSA United, winning the game in penalty kicks.  Congratulations boys!

The St. Charles Celtic Soccer Club in St. Charles held their annual "Knucklehead" haircut fundraiser supporting Lazarus House on February 22, 2011, collecting over $1,900 in cash for the charity.  U12 player Quinn Gratz and his father Harvey, a member of the Celtics organization, both shaved their heads for the event.  Quinn   went one step further, enlisting his teammates as well as his 6th grade classmates at Geneva Middle School to take up the cause as a service project and was able to collect a full van load of items for Lazarus House.  In addition, Verizon Wireless heard about the project and was inspired to donate $5,000 in the Campton U12 boys name to Lazarus House.  The check presentation was made at Campton's new indoor facility on March 17, 2011.  On hand were representatives from Verizon Wireless, Lazarus House, the St. Charles Celtic Soccer Club, Campton United Soccer Club board members and the U12 boys soccer teams.

U13 Girls Win Puma Champions Cup College Showcase - The U13 Navy Girls went 5-0 (11GF, 3GA) this past weekend to win the Puma Champions Cup tournament.  The team fielded three thutouts, including a victory against the #1 ranked team in Minnesota, on its way to the championship match against the Warrier SC Elite team.  Midfielder Morgan Rerko scored the winning goal with less than 10 seconds remaining in the match to give the U13 girls a 1-0 victory and the championship trophy.  Congratulations girls!  

U15 Boys Win Puma Champions Cup College Showcase - Campton's U15 Navy Boys won the Puma Champions Cup tournament held in Rockford.  The team played five matches, scoring 17 goals while allowing only 3.  Congratulations boys!

U9 Liga Finish First - Campton's U9 girls finish in 1st place in Sportsplex winter league play.  Congratulations girls!  

Campton United Soccer Complex officially opens with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on February 22, 2011.

Campton alumni Alex Tyton and Brady Wahl receive All-American Honors - Both players were recognized at the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention held in Baltimore in January.  Alex received the All-American College - NAIA award for the second time in his college career and Brady received the All-American High School Award.  Alex will finish his college career this year when he graduates from Judson University.  Brady will begin his at Ohio State University this fall.  Congratulations boys!

Campton Girls Volunteer Time at Local Food Bank - U11 and U12 girls spent the morning of December 22, 2010 packaging food and toiletries for the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Coach Brian Nail, Girls Director of Coaching, receives National A Coaching License -  Coach Brian spent 9 days in June attending a US Soccer Coaching School where candidates were evaluated and tested on their coaching ability and knowledge of the game.  The A license is the highest level in the US Soccer Coaching Schools and only about 2,200 coaches nation-wide hold the license.  Congratulations Brian!

CAMPTON COACH EARNS USSF NATIONAL C LICENSE - U7-U9 Age Group Director DJ Driscoll traveled to Kentucky in November along with coaches from ten different states and four different countries to experience a world class coaching education course.  During the nine day course, participants worked on various aspects of the game, including field instruction, player psychology, prevention and care and in-class team tactics.  DJ was able to utilize his coaching knowledge with local U15-U18 girls teams during training sessions and looks forward to using what he has learned from this course and apply it to the older age group players at Campton.  Congratulations DJ!

CONGRATULATIONS TO CAMPTON'S U17 BOYS on their acceptance into the US Youth Soccer National League.  The team will begin competition in December at the NCAA Division I Final Four event against some of the best teams in the country.  Campton is one of only 8 teams from around the country that was invited to compete in this league.

About the US Youth Soccer National League - Formed in 2007, the US Youth Soccer National League was developed as a path of advancement for the top teams from the US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues.  In addition to meaningful matches, development and identification, the league created a direct path to the annual US Youth Soccer National Championships.  League play features the Under 15, Under 16 and Under 17 age groups for boys and girls who are seeking to advance their college, professional and US National Team aspirations.  Learn more at www.USYouthSoccer.org/National_League/.

AthletiCo training begins this week - AthletiCo, the # 1 sports performance group in the Chicagoland area, will begin training our U12 - U18 players begining Monday.  AthletiCo is responsible for fitness, performance and rehabilitation for US Soccer, Chicago Fire, Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Blackhawks, just to name a few!  AthletiCo's goal over the next 10 weeks will be to improve our athletes core fitness and speed and agility as well as focusing on ACL injury prevention.  We look forward to working with senior staff member Greg Goodrich and facility manager John Honcharuk.  All Campton families are reminded that one of the many advantages of our partnership with AthletiCo is that they will provide any Campton player with a free injury screening at the St. Charles facility.  We encourage all of our families to contact AthletiCo for any injury or fitness  needs.

Congratulations to Matt Russo - After 7 years with Campton United, Matt, a current U18 player, signed a Letter of Intent to play at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay.  Matt has also recently been recruited to play for the Chicago Fire Academy, a stepping stone to professional soccer for top level players.  Good luck Matt!

Soccer Lock-In - Once again Campton United is doing the unthinkable... Our 2008 all night Soccer Lock-In will take place on Sunday, November 23rd at the St. Charles Sportsplex. Player drop off is at 8:30pm and pick up is 7:30am  Monday morning.

The Soccer Lock-In is open to all boys and girls ages U10 to U14.  The night will be filled with lots of Soccer, Fun, Food, and Friendship.  Campton Coaches and the Campton Parents Club will be supervising the players all night. Make sure to mark your calendars. Sign-up and additional information.

Chicago Fire Ticket Pickup - Tickets for the Fire vs. Red Bulls game on Saturday 9/6 @ 7:30pm are available for pickup in the Campton office on Thursday 9/4 from 10:00am - 5:00pm and on Friday 9/5 from 10:00am - 2:00pm. All players are encouraged to wear their Navy jersey to the game. Don't forget to RSVP to camptonoffice@aol.com if you are attending the Red Star tailgate event before the game.

Player Development Presentation on Wednesday 8/20 - We are offering those parents who were unable to attend the new parent meeting or their team meeting the opportunity to view the club's presentation on player development on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:00pm in the Campton office.  The presentation was well received by the parents who have been able to attend and we hope you will take this opportunity to view it as well.  Please email Debbie if you will attend the meeting so that we can plan accordingly.

Chicago Fire Night(s) - Campton United's next club night features a 2-game package: On Saturday 9/6 @ 7:30pm the Fire host the New York Red Bulls, and on Thursday 9/25 @ 8:00pm the Fire host David Beckham and the LA Galaxy. Campton United Congratulates Illinois ODP Players - Campton United is proud to recognize its' 2008 class of Illinois ODP players.  It is always exciting to have Campton United players representing the State of Illinois in competition.  Players who have been selected to the Regional Pool will have opportunities to represent Region 2 in upcoming National and International Events. Chicago Fire Night - Campton United's first club night of the year is set for July 19th as the Chicago Fire host Real Salt Lake @ 7:30pm at Toyota Park.  Players are invited to sign up to participate as ball kids, human tunnel, and half time scrimmage.  Contact Debbie to place your ticket order and to sign up for on-field activities. Deadline to order tickets is July 11th.
